Statistics
The image below shows the predictions for all of the active snow prediction services this year. Notably, Billy Blizzard Boy has the highest accuracy among all the prediction services, and produces significantly more confident predictions than MoCoSnow's wishy-washy "well I'll just leave a 7% chance of closure so nobody can tell me I'm wrong" and "my 55% prediction doesn't tell you anything but it makes you feel better" numbers. And the fact that MoCoSnow is currently performing worse than a joke service is quite telling.

Update 11:32 PM January 7, 2022:
MCPS couldn't take MoCoSnow's bribes any longer and closed schools at 6am. The right decision, although disappointingly late.
Update 8:19 PM January 6, 2022:
MCPS has announced a 2-hour delay but annoyingly won't announce a closure yet. The BBB team will continue to stick to its prediction of school closing.

This weather system is quite complex. Along with our usual strategies listed in the FAQ, we also needed to employ a new, advanced method -- the gut feeling. Leading scientists in the field are still trying to figure out how it works, but its results are quite promising.
Don't worry about the percentages; we'll have a confident answer by tonight. Stay tuned!
Initial notice at 12:50 PM January 2, 2022:
Possible snow threat tomorrow, January 3, with a significant chance of affecting school. Nothing is guaranteed though, so do your homework now and stay tuned for updates.

Updated prediction (12/15 evening):
The temperatures have shifted in our favor, calling for a new prediction from the Blizzard Boy. Here's what he had to say about the situation:
"The temps have gone down some more,
thus down with the multiples of four."
The previous chance of closing was a multiple of 4, but what to change it to? When asked for clarification, he replied:
"The snow is lovely, white and deep,
But multiples of 5 are good to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep,
and miles to go before I sleep."
One can observe that the chance of closure must go up since conditions have turned in our favor, and It must go to a multiple of 5, leading to the following updated prediction:
45% chance of delay
25% chance of closure
30% chance of MCPS not caring about student safety

45% chance of delay
20% chance of closure
35% chance of MCPS not caring about student safety
MoCoSnow of course copied our prediction 3 hours after we released it and adjusted it slightly to say 40% chance of delay and a 20% chance of closure. However, do not let this horrific atrocity distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
As usual, please check our twitter @BBlizzardBoy for the latest updates.

Previous Prediction (12/9):
Jiminy cricket, it's snow season again.
For thirteen-fourteenths a fortnite I have slumber'd
Until Dawn's finger tips of rose arous'd me
I stood up and shooketh the ground, and all heard:
"My name is Billy Blizzard Boy and I say to ye,
The chances of delay and full day are equal!
Yet they are twice that of no school.
Brace yeselves, here cometh the squall,
He who heeds not the word is a fool."
And trembl'd the ground no more.
Upon hearing this, one can construct the equation
2x + 2x + x = 1 -> 5x = 1 -> x = 1/5
Therefore the percentages are:

It going to snow up to 1 inch per hour! The following is an early prediction. Stay tuned for updates.
50% chance that school will not open
50% chance that school will open, but that opening occurs 2 hours after traditional, orthodox opening times
MORE BETTER UPDATE:
This just in from the Billy Blizzard Boy Team:
A bit more snow expected around noon when I eat my overcooked salmon.
Wind chills below 0 Fahrenheit in upper Montgomery County, perfect temperature for preserving salmon.
On Thursday morning, it's going to be so cold my well-done salmon will turn raw. Specifically, wind chills will be around -10 Fahrenheit.
75% chance that school ceases all education tomorrow
15% chance that operations will proceed normally at school
5% chance that school does not cease education for that day, but moves it back 2 hours (without compensating those 2 hours by adding 2 hours to the school day)
5% chance that school does not cease education for that day and begins on time, but will cut the day short without compensating hours lost
January 29, 2019
There will be at first no snow and then some snow. The point at which there is no snow and then there is snow will be sometime around the point in which the sun is visible and then the sun is not visible. After awhile, the snow will disappear because it will be hot, just like me after my 15th birthday.
On an unrelated note, please feel free to send your email and your comments to me through the contacts section. So I can get to know you better.
31% the school will kick us out because it's too white out there
20% the school will close because too much precipitation interfering with student transportation and safety
